In fact, those who would like to wake up to a brand new landscape every day and lead a mobile life achieve that goal. Of course, the freelancers can do this much more comfortably. But, if you are looking for a better example, here you are:
Zach Both, a young movie-maker, set his eyes on one of the panel vans while he was surfing on Craigslist and bought it. It was kind of a panel van, at which no one ever look while passing by. In almost a year, he turned that rusty van into a mobile studio with great determination.
Zach wanted to lead his life in different parts of the USA and maintain his job at the same time. Thus, he was looking for a studio. After he found the vehicle he would realize his dreams, he gave a start to transformation process. He succeeded in his mission thanks to his ‘do-it-yourself’ attitude and experience on design.
He first wiped the dust and dirt off the wall and ground. Tiny reparations followed that. The interior of the van was painted completely and covered with insulating material. Then, in order to have a cozy interior, lathe work was preferred in some places. The father and his son refrained from making an alteration as much as possible; they just made a hole on the top, thus letting the sunshine in and enabling air circulation.
Hidden stove, comfy convertible sofa bed, refrigerator, Wi-Fi, home theater system… Having adapted everything he might need to his van, Zach makes use of solar power to make electricity.
