The project run by Irish artist Emer Gillespie and her daughter Laoisha born with down syndrome was initiated in 2008. For the project named as “Picture You and Picture Me”, in which the mother and the daughter change roles in every photograph and pose in the same way, with the same light and angle, Emer Gillespie says:

“This is our family album and seeing Laoisha grow makes me so happy. As long as the project helps my daughter improve her visual language, it will continue. If you ask “When will it end?”, then I say whenever my daughter loses her interest and will about the project or whenever she doesn’t want to see me in her photographs anymore, we will end the project.”
