Every day, moms and dads decide what their children are going wear. But, what if we turn upside down this rule? This mom’s trying, who decided to make a change about this, resulted gorgeously!
Although Summer has two imps, she always looks beautiful and stylish.
When the idea of letting her sons to decide what she was going to wear had come into her mind, her three-year old son Rockwell decided what his mom was going to wear and he became her special stylist for a week.
Rockwell and his two-year old brother Phoenix.
Little child took this duty seriously and he chose her mom’s clothes carefully. Here some of them.
Rockwell chose a gray skirt, a Bob Dyland tshirt and a black tights. I told him that:
“This is a great choice, Rock. I think I am going to wear this again.” But then he looked at my feet and offered me shoes. When I asked, “Are you sure about these shoes?”, he said ‚Yes‘ without even thinking and added: “And also a blue sweatshirt”.
Summer watched her son choosing clothes for her with pleasure:
“He held the first cloth he saw but later he thought about what could be compatible with it”. For instance, once; “If you are going to wear a floral dress, your socks should be floral too.” he said.
I loved watching how his mind works.
At the beginning, I was a bit shy about going out with these clothes. But I was in shock when I saw people staring at me with curiosity instead of laughing at me! Even a woman approached me on a bus stop and said she loved my socks!
“This was my favourite day of the week. It was like a cloth in memory of Mickey Mouse.”
You don’t have to wear the same pair of shoes every day!
“It was a hard process. Once, Rock decided to make me wear three different blouses on end. And I tried to stop him by saying that maybe we should concentrate on the pants a bit?”
“But later he chose these shoes. Actually, he didn’t realize that shoes were different from each other.”
Summer realized that the clothes her son had chosen could be worn on daily life with few small changes and she states that every combination makes her smile when she looks at the mirror.
Summer also encouraged other moms to provide their children similar opportunities.
“Other moms joining in this fun makes me so happy. It is a great thing to add a smile to someone’s life. “”
At the end of week, Summer realized that most of the people do not care about what you wear.
“We lock ourselves in small boxes supposing that we are going to be approved by only what we wear‘‘.
‘‘But we determine the borders that we put ourselves not others. For two weeks, I walked with shoes those are not each other’s match and no one had realized it until I showed that‘‘.
“Sometimes you should give a silly acting chance to yourself. This will be good both for you and your children. You don’t need to take this serious, in the end these are only clothes”.
