Do you feel sad when you hear about poor animals in need of food and shelter? Do you sigh like ‘I wish I could be with them and afford to help them’ when you watch them on news? Sometimes, we can sacrifice our money that we save for the future, and sometimes we may not be able to help them except for our good wishes.
Worry no more! We present you a new application that will allow you to help them! ResQwalk! This new application will enable you to help animals in shelter.
So, what is ResQwalk? How does it work? How can we help?
Listen to closely:
ResQwalk’s slogan ‘Save animals every time you take a walk!’ calls on us to walking.
Both Android and iOS users can download this application and start helping animals.
ResQwalk donates the money collected from sponsors to the registered shelters.
Every year, ResQwalk collects the donations and ask their users to choose a shelter. The more users walk for their shelter, the more the shelter they choose gains. In other words, the shelter for which most people walks, gets the donations.
The application calculates distance according to GPS rather than counting steps.
As always, some rules are inevitable;
You can’t go more than 20 kilometers in an hour. This means, you can use the application while walking, running or riding a bike but you can’t use it while driving as it won’t calculate the distance. Don’t think that ‘It doesn’t count steps anyway; I drive and increase the distance’. You have also a limit of 48 kilometers for a day, kilometers over 48 don’t count.
Using this application is free! You just walk…
How do you use ResQwalk?
After you download the application, you create a membership or log in with your Facebook/Twitter account. Then, you choose a shelter that you are going to help (Shelters which are below on the list get little help, we advise you to choose one of these) and start walking after you press Start Walk. You can stop it by pressing Pause. You can end your walking by pressing Finish. After walking, you will see discounted products on the screen, if you are not interested, skip it and see your walking analysis. The application works on the background, which means you don’t have to keep it open.
Unfortunately, the application calculates the distance through GPS, so walking at home isn’t counted.
So, let’s go out and start helping animals now!
