Zdzislaw Beksinski was a Polish painter, sculptor and a photographer specializing in dystopian surrealism who was born in 1929. Almost in every work, he reflected his dark fantasy world referring to his tragic life. At the end of 1990s, his wife died because of a serious disease and after a year, his son committed suicide. In 2005, he was found dead with multiple stab wounds on his body in his flat.
His tragic experiences affected the themes of his works that some people have found them ‘disturbing’ while others have accepted them as a pure reflection of a dark soul in a masterly way.
